"A new initiative to introduce girls to football in an inclusive and welcoming environment"

An opportunity for girls aged 6 and up to play football in an inclusive and non-competitive way in Venice. The idea came from the grassroots, in response to an appeal from a mother who, seeing some girls feeling “excluded” from the game on the fields and streets of Venice, turned to our association to create opportunities for training and continuous play in Venice in an inclusive and welcoming environment.
From an initial open day held on May 11, we gathered interest and sign-ups for the next season of ongoing training sessions starting in October 2025, in collaboration with the Patronato dei Frari and the support of Venezia FC Femminile.
The goal? To offer the opportunity to get involved in a healthy way of playing soccer for free, have fun, and create opportunities for sport and socializing in Venice.
Why believe in this project
Sport is a powerful tool for growth, socializing, and personal expression. No one should feel excluded from a sport because of gender stereotypes. With this initiative, we aim to:
- introduce girls and families to women's football;
- reduce gender inequality in football;
- create an inclusive and safe space where girls and young women can play and express themselves;
- strengthen ties with the local community through sport.
